Verification and monitoring

The verification step helps with patient compliance

The verification step or verification key is a special aligner that is used by the doctor to help check the compliance of the patient.

This aligner is made of a thicker material and is also slightly shorter, and it will be clearly marked on the packaging as different from the normal trays used by the patient.

It is not meant to be sent home with the patient, but is kept in the office and used by the doctor to check how the treatment is progressing.

If the verification key does not fit properly, it can be used to have conversations with the patient about the importance of compliance, and the impact of failing verification on the successful resolution of their treatment plan.

The verification step is normally included after the 8th step in the treatment in a typical set of 10.
